Space Heart

“Space Heart” is a simple video game designed in GML and written to be exported to both mobile and HTML5.

The art of the game need to be clean, and iconic so that different the player, enemies and objects are instantly recognizable in motion, and still scale-able to large and small screens without a loss in clarity.

A square motif was chosen and applied to the logo, as it represented a pixel and geometric aesthetic that could be easily recognized on both large and small screens. Since the game took place in space, the game objects were colored white to contrast against the background. A stroke of color was added to the foreground objects to help them stay visible during, as well as differentiate enemies and powerups from the player.
